Philosophy of Ministry
“I believe that God desires to bring glory to Himself through the restoration of creation and the reconciliation of all humanity to Himself (2 Cor. 5:12–21; Eph. 1:9–10; Col. 1:20; Rev. 5:9). While the reconciliation of the Church is part of that goal, she is also the means by which God has chosen to accomplish this project of restoration and reconciliation (2 Cor. 5:18–20).
“I believe the local church, of which Jesus Christ is the head, is to be comprised of a people committed to the teaching of Scripture, Christian community, the celebration of the Lord’s Supper, prayer, and evangelism (Matt. 28:19–20; Acts 2:42–47). Scripture teaches that the local church is to be focused primarily on equipping believers for ministry, that the body of Christ may be brought to maturity by the power of the Holy Spirit (Eph. 4:11–16).
“God has laid a passion on my heart to see Him glorified by the changing of lives through the local church and the proclamation, internalization, and application of the Scriptures.”
