OAKRIDGE BIBLE CHAPEL

Brian and Sally’s Prayer Report

Below is a prayer update sent to the Oakridge Bible Chapel family from Brian and Sally Seim, missionaries who serve the Lord with SIM Canada as an extension of OBC’s gospel ministry.

March Requests

  • Thesis development: I (Brian) have been rewriting and connecting logic and theory in my thesis for the past eight months. On Sunday morning I completed the revisions in all ten chapters. I am now cleaning up the remaining edits, bibliography, and formatting. Please pray for scrutiny in these final checks.
  • ESL: Both Sally and I are thoroughly enjoying teaching ESL to Asian parents who have come with their children (who attend school in Canada). Please pray for one of my students and one of Sally’s students as they make decisions for Christ.
  • Health: In late March of 2023 (a year ago), I fell while out on a walk. The diagnosis was ‘muddied’ by two different injuries. As of March 13, 2024, I now know that I damaged my spine which will be treated in about two weeks. This aggravated the existing osteoarthritis in my hip, which will need replaced sometime later this year. I ask for your prayers, the right doctors, and my patience, as these processes take place.
  • We are involved in other ministries, but simply ask you to pray for our work.

Thank you for your care, prayer, and friendship.

By job title, Alice is the office administrator at Oakridge. But her behind-the-scenes efforts go far beyond that! She is actively involved in the leadership team for the Tuesday evening women's bible study, she is on the mission committee, and she has recently both stepped into the leadership of church bridal and baby shower celebrations, and started teaching in our Ozone kids program. Oh, and if you see any special seasonal or holiday decorations around the church, it's a safe bet that Alice was involved!
