We are committed, in the Lord’s strength and through the power of the Holy Spirit, to draw alongside the men of Oakridge, to provide spiritual refreshment while cultivating long-lasting relationships and developing a thirst and hunger in our souls to know him more as we become the men of integrity, substance, and courage that he desires us to be.

We provide a Christ-centred environment where women can meet the Lord and grow in their relationship with him. This ministry serves as an avenue for women to come together to learn, serve, and encourage one another, to build lasting friendships, be drawn nearer to Jesus Christ, and to be equipped, enabled and encouraged in their faith so that they can reach out to those around them that do not yet know a Saviour.

Mandarin Community Group: Oakridge Bible Chapel began a Mandarin Group ministry in September of 2017 to meet the spiritual needs of the growing Mandarin-speaking population in our community. We meet regularly to sing hymns, study the Bible, share life stories, pray, and encourage one another. In doing this, we hope to continuously apply the biblical truth to our lives. We welcome all Mandarin-speaking friends and neighbours to join us, even if you are not a Christian. We hope this community group will become a spiritual platform where we can grow our relationship with God, build friendship, learn together, and support each other.

Nursery (Birth–Age 2)

We provide a warm and caring environment for infants, toddlers, and nursing mothers during the Sunday morning times of corporate worship.

Primary (Age 3, Grades JK–SK)

We are excited to have a great time each Sunday morning with our young children. Kids enjoy active songs, games, and great crafts related to the Bible story each week.

Ozone (Grades 1–5)

In Ozone, our Sunday School program, we work alongside parents in training their children in knowing God’s word, memorizing key Bible passages, in praising and worshipping our Lord and Saviour, and developing strong relationships with their Sunday School classmates.

Glo (Grades 6–8)

Glo provides Junior High students with opportunities to live and learn as followers of Jesus Christ, seeing faith, friends, and life collide where they are. We will listen to exciting and relatable Bible-based teaching and engage in discussion as to why and how the topic discussed applies to our everyday lives. Make sure to bring your Bible!

Treehouse (JK–Grade 3)

Kids get an opportunity to learn about God and to participate in fun activities that reinforce the things that we learn about him. Each evening after singing all together the “Acorns” (ages JK & SK) and “Oaks” (grades 1 – 3) separate for Bible Story, craft, and game times.

Throughout the year we learn a passage of Scripture. Kids earn points for attendance, for saying their memory work, and for bringing their memory book each week. The points are traded in three times throughout the year at our “General Store.” Tree House ends with our exciting Grand Prix Car Race.

Rooted (Grades 4+)

The goal of Rooted is to bring boys and girls into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Every week we learn from God’s word and work on memorizing a passage from the Bible. Each week we also work on a creative project and have a time for games. We finish off our year with designing and painting our cars for our Grand Prix.

Floor Hockey Club (Ages 8–14)

A great evening of floor hockey action! We play two games with a break in between to hear a short devotional from the Bible. No cost to participate! Bring your stick and a water bottle if you’d like.

From its inception, Oakridge has been a mission-oriented church. We designate a significant portion of our time, talents, and resources to serving our community here in Oakville and throughout the world, as well as helping others who also serve around the world.

As a missional community, we:

  • Support biblically-based ministries that are reaching out to the communities around us and around the world.
  • Provide a program that increases the awareness of and interest in global mission among Oakridge members. To accomplish this, the program allows broad participation so anyone in the church can be involved by giving or going.
  • In addition, the program is designed to make missions a way of life for our church. Oakridge Bible Chapel has sponsored several trips during the year. Recent short-term mission projects include locales such as Nicaragua, Belize, Birmingham, UK, and Camiri, Bolivia.

Our Oakridge-supported Missionaries include:

  • Robert Cousins, Director of Tyndale Intercultural Ministries (TIM Centre), Toronto, Ontario

partnering with church and para-church organizations to carry out its mandate. TIM Centre also
offers exposure to international mission leaders who offer academic and practical teaching related to missions.
