Please Note: The platform in the sanctuary is not accessible to the public. Those leading from the platform will not be required to wear masks while doing so.
Above you will find a button that, when clicked, redirects to the registration page for Sunday morning corporate worship. On the main page for the event you will click “register.” On the following page you will see an option for sanctuary seating or serving roles (individual who do not require physical seats like deacons and sound booth technicians). Please choose the appropriate amount of tickets for your entire household unit. You will then be brought to the registration page. On this page there are a few important details to notice. First, you will be asked to provide contact information as the individual signing up (perhaps on behalf of others). Second, you will be required to provide the details for each of the members of your household attending (which also involves filling out your own information a second time). Information marked with a red star is required.
When you reach the very bottom of the page you will see two separate check-boxes that have to do with Eventbrite promotions. Do not check these boxes unless you wish to receive promotions that are unrelated to Oakridge.
When your registration is complete you should receive a confirmation email. Despite the use of the word “tickets”, you do not need to bring any evidence of registration as the church will have that because of your registration.
The sign-up link will close on Saturday evening or whenever capacity is reached. We encourage you to read or review our Sunday service details below.
On June 14th, Oakridge Bible Chapel opened its doors for our first in-person time of corporate worship since March and will continue to do so. However, given the provincial government and public health regulations and guidelines surrounding COVID-19, our time together will look significantly different than before. All who plan to attend must sign-up prior to arrival, including a separate sign-up for every individual. For those unable to attend, a livestream of our time together will be provided and can be found here.
We ask that all considering in-person attendance read through the information below and familiarize yourself with the government mandates and recommendations We also encourage the use of the provided self assessment tool to better understand personal risk levels. Even though we are following provincial guidelines, there is still risk when gathering together, so please make your own decision based on your circumstances. If you or anyone in your household feels ill, have had any symptoms of illness, or have come in contact with someone who is ill; or if you have recently returned from travel outside Canada, please do not sign-up nor plan to attend corporate worship.
If, having read this document, you are interested in attending, please sign-up by clicking the button above or, if you are having issues registering that way, contact the church office for help.
Our service will begin at 10:30am. We ask that you aim to arrive early, as maintaining safe physical distancing and registering attendance will make entry take longer than usual. We have a large parking lot, so please do your best to make use of it by leaving an empty space between cars. We will be only accepting entry through the main front door, which will be propped open. Physical distancing spots will be marked on the sidewalk leading up to the doors. If a line has formed to the end of the sidewalk, please stay at your car until a spot opens up. We will be providing hand sanitizer to everyone at the doors, and we will have someone in the foyer checking temperature and keeping record of those in attendance as a means of contact tracing. You will then be able to enter into the sanctuary by means of a propped open door. When selecting a seat (or group of seats for your party), please ensure a safe space from others already seated.
It is essential that from arrival to departure, several regulations are kept. Safe physical distancing of a minimum of 2 metres must be kept between anyone outside of your household for the duration. As of July 26th, masks are mandatory in enclosed indoor public places. Masks will be available when you enter the church building if you do not have your own. High-touch surfaces will be cleaned and sanitized, but please do your best to limit unnecessary touching. All unnecessary rooms within the church will be closed and inaccessible.
Except in case of emergency, we ask everyone to exit the church in a timely manner after service through the marked and opened exit doors. Dispose of your communion packaging in the garbage bin by the exit, and hand sanitizer will be provided. We ask that you do not socialize with other households within the church building and current governmental guidelines recommend limiting social gathering and interaction on the way to your vehicles.
We know these are not ideal circumstances, but we praise the Lord that we’re able to gather in any capacity, a reality that is hugely important in the Christian life. We ask that you please be patient and gracious with everyone and respect the direction and guidance of our elders, deacons, and staff. Our hope and prayer is that whether you will be in attendance or not, you are rejoicing with us at God’s glorious provision, and eagerly anticipating the day when we can all be together again!
