OAKRIDGE BIBLE CHAPEL

Needy People in the Hands of a Need-Meeting God (Mark 7:31–8:26)

Have you ever noticed that, despite being almost totally dependant and vulnerable, young children are often unworried and unburdened? They joyfully assume that their many needs will be met by the adults around them. If only we could maintain that stress-free life into adulthood! Interestingly, that’s exactly how Christians are invited to live—perceiving God as one who is aware of our needs, powerful enough to meet those needs, and loving enough to do just that. God wants you and I to live life with confidence in that, though we are dependant and vulnerable, we have a heavenly Father who can be trusted for the provision of life’s daily needs.

Josiah has served the Oakridge Bible Chapel family as one of its elders and one of its pastoral staff members since September 2018, before which he ministered as an associate pastor to a local congregation in the Canadian prairies. Josiah's desire is to be used by God to help equip the church for ministry, both while gathered (edification) and while scattered (evangelization). He is married to Patricia, and together they have five children—Jonah, Henry, Nathaniel, Josephine, and Benjamin.
