OAKRIDGE BIBLE CHAPEL

God’s Grace to Keep Us Saved

We all want the people we love to know they are loved. We don’t want our family members and friends left wondering if our commitment to them will fade over time if they don’t continue to please, impress, serve, and woo us. Instead, our desire is for those closest to us to feel so secure in our relationship that they can enjoy the freedom, joy, and peace true fellowship provides.

The Bible teaches that, in an even more intense way, God wants his people to know they are his—now and forever! He doesn’t want us doubting our status as saved people, wondering if we have fallen out of eternal favour. Instead, God’s Word teaches that once a sinner is saved by his grace they are kept by his grace. Understanding our eternal security in Christ gives the people of God the confidence to freely live lives of devotion, joy, and peace.

Josiah has served the Oakridge Bible Chapel family as one of its elders and one of its pastoral staff members since September 2018, before which he ministered as an associate pastor to a local congregation in the Canadian prairies. Josiah's desire is to be used by God to help equip the church for ministry, both while gathered (edification) and while scattered (evangelization). He is married to Patricia, and together they have five children—Jonah, Henry, Nathaniel, Josephine, and Benjamin.
