Fundamentals are important to know, to be reminded of, and to return to regularly. Take, for example, mathematics: If the fundamentals of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division are unknown, forgotten, or ignored, success as a mathematician is doubtful! And this is true across all fields—from athletics to the arts, from engineering to economics, and from parenting to personal finances—to neglect the fundamentals is to forfeit effectiveness.
The Christian life is no exception. If our desire is to grow as followers of Jesus Christ and to be a faithful church that rightly handles God’s word and effectively and urgently shares God’s gospel we must know, remember, and, on occasion, return to the fundamental truth that God is holy, holy, holy, a reality that is as applicable as it is awesome.

Josiah has served the Oakridge Bible Chapel family as one of its elders and one of its pastoral staff members since September 2018, before which he ministered as an associate pastor to a local congregation in the Canadian prairies. Josiah's desire is to be used by God to help equip the church for ministry, both while gathered (edification) and while scattered (evangelization). He is married to Patricia, and together they have five children—Jonah, Henry, Nathaniel, Josephine, and Benjamin.
