Following Jesus is a journey that demands the navigation of a variety of terrains. There are the “mountaintops” to enjoy—seasons in which God seems too real to deny, too loud to ignore, and too good to doubt. These peaks are exciting, worth celebrating, and often accompanied by a resolute allegiance to the Lord. Alternatively, there are “valleys” to endure—dark periods of life in which God may seem distant, aloof, or uncaring. These ravines can cause discouragement, confusion, and loneliness. While on the mountaintops, the truth and power of God inspire us to faithfulness, in the valleys, doubt and disillusionment can cause that same commitment to wane and weaken. How can we become disciples who remain faithful to our Lord irregardless of the elevation at which we’re travelling and encourage one another to that same end?

Josiah has served the Oakridge Bible Chapel family as one of its elders and one of its pastoral staff members since September 2018, before which he ministered as an associate pastor to a local congregation in the Canadian prairies. Josiah's desire is to be used by God to help equip the church for ministry, both while gathered (edification) and while scattered (evangelization). He is married to Patricia, and together they have five children—Jonah, Henry, Nathaniel, Josephine, and Benjamin.
