Hear Our Cry, O God; Give Heed to Our Prayer!

Anyone out there feeling a little worn down, frustrated, or just plain weary? If so, you’ve got company.

The last number of months have taken many of us to the brink of our emotional, physical, and spiritual resources, demonstrated for us afresh that we’re creatures with limits, and highlighted yet again that we need a God who is without. What can we do when we’re weary? Where can we turn for strength and comfort? How can we endure?

Andrew takes the wheel in this latest offering of the podcast as he and Josiah discuss Psalm 61 and how king David’s desperate-but-hopeful words ring true for us today. (If you missed last Sunday’s sermon, be sure catch up here.)

Josiah has served the Oakridge Bible Chapel family as one of its elders and one of its pastoral staff members since September 2018, before which he ministered as an associate pastor to a local congregation in the Canadian prairies. Josiah's desire is to be used by God to help equip the church for ministry, both while gathered (edification) and while scattered (evangelization). He is married to Patricia, and together they have five children—Jonah, Henry, Nathaniel, Josephine, and Benjamin.
